YWAM Jacksonville

Last Friday evening we attended a 10 year anniversary celebration at the new YWAM Jacksonville base right in Jax Beach....

The base is just across this park.

Jacksonville Base Director

Danny Lehmann the Director of YWAM Hawaiian Islands had a wonderful word for the base & all of us! We appreciated the wisdom he shared with us during lunch the next day.

the TRUCK is SOLD!

The truck is SOLD!! Praise the Lord!! A sweet couple from North Philly bought it Saturday; and we are so grateful!!

We have an application in for a home in Australia! This would be a huge blessing, as it would allow us to share rent with our friends Jay & Tara Heller. We know that if we don't get it, the Lord has another place for us! Hopefully we will hear in the next day or so if they accepted our application!!

Thanks for your prayers!

a "perfect" {WATER BOTTLE}

This isn't a post having anything to do with our future life in Australia or how God is moving in our lives BUT it does contain some valuable information!

For the past couple months I've had my eye out for the "perfect" water bottle. I've had a couple Nalgens & liked them but was always a little annoyed that on a hot summer day the water was nearly boiling in them after only an hour or so BUT I did love that it was spill proof! I love my Tervis Tumbler; it keeps drinks cold because it's double walled BUT it's not spill proof, you can't just throw it in your bag and go. I found my perfect, spill proof & double walled, water bottle at Target & finally broke down and bought it!!

I wanted to prove that it was good so I did a little experiment (Jeremy & his Dad laughed at me the whole time!). I took 3 bottles & put 6 ice cubes in each. I set them outside in the HOT Florida sun to see how they'd preform. Here they are:

Tervis Tumbler - "InTak" by Thermos - Aladdin

And here were my findings:
Like I expected Tervis Tumbler was the best but...

my "perfect" water bottle from Target was a VERY close second...

and the Intak by Thermos(which was not double walled) was a definite last!

All that to say....I'm happy with my $10 Aladdin water bottle from Target & it will do me very well this summer in the states & the hot summers in Oz! Oh & a bonus feature is that part of the bottle top screws off so you can put ice cubes in it! Genius!!!!

....{SURF}shop PART II

We already got word that the surf shop with be signed over August 1st!! Perfect timing, as we arrive June 20th and have a little bit of time to get settled! The details of roles & who's doing what have yet to be determined.

There are currently 3 skate shops that are run by the same guys that are actually purchasing the surf shop. They run them in a missional way, so that all profits go back into outreaches and ministries around skating. God has been so faithful to them!! They've seen how being in the community & and a part of the skate culture has given them open doors to speak into the lives of many youth on the coast. Our prayer is that the surf shop would have similar opportunities in the surfing community in Mudjimba!

The website for the store is:

The website for the ministry they run through the profits of the store is:

{SURF}shop

Ashlee and I have been approached about co-managing a surf shop with a buddy of mine.  It would be a great opportunity to get involved in the surf industry locally. The idea behind running a shop would be to have a place where groms(youth & teens) can come and hang out. The shop would be run for the purpose of building relationships with the local community. Right now, it's all in the dreaming phase.

Please pray with us as we discern what the Lord is saying!

Here is the current surf shop!

{the KEYS} in a "SEA SHELL"

Last night we arrived back in JAX and are missing the beautiful Florida Keys already! We spent just under 2 weeks with Michael & JuliAnne Kelly & her families beach home in Islamorada. Jeremy's brother, Robby, & his wife, Kelly, were there the first week, staying only a few blocks from us.
a beautiful sunset from the Carrier's dock

feeding some massive Tarpon

look at the mouth on that fish!
Our good friends from Augusta, Georgia met us the second week we were down, Tommy & Jessica Stowell. Jeremy grew up with Tommy & Michael so it was really special that they got to spend a week together.
Tommy & Jeremy sailing a one man sailboat... needles to say it was very entertaining!

We were so blessed by our friend who took us fishing!!

Good Bye Islamorada! You were great to us!

PRAY FOR {YWAM Indonesia}

This is an urgent prayer request from the director of the Bali, Indonesia YWAM center....

Dear Friends,

There are three things that keep any people or nation in poverty and bondage : Greed, Injustice and Corruption.
God has called us at Ywam/UofN Bali to disciple our nation, Indonesia. We are facing some giants in this land!

Would you stand in prayer with us? We need your immediate prayers and intercession.

Our present center is an 18 bedroom former motel. We leased it for 11 years and paid the full lease up to the year 2017. About this time last year, the owners wanted the property back because business in Bali is in the 'boom' and they have an investor who wants to build a hotel. Of course we said no.  We have a legal, binding contract. They told us we have one year to make plans to move. They tried to influence our  surrounding community and our neighbours but it was not successful.  A few days ago, the local authorities "investigated us for wrongful use of facility'" siting that the building was registered as a hotel and we as a society has no right to use it. (they said nothing for the last 5 years). They said we needed to get the owners permission for a change of use. Do you think the owner will allow for a change of use? Otherwise we must leave. One of the officials dealing with us is related to the family who owns the building. We are engaging a lawyer to handle our case. We believe God has called us to 'disciple this nation. We are facing the giants of corruption, greed and injustice that holds Indonesia in poverty and bondage.

Will you stand with us in prayer for the next few weeks?

Thank you for all the prayers!!
